Hello everyone! I am here to report about a few things. The first thing I am going to mention is that my husband and I went to Target last night, and invested, yes invested, in a food processor. Originally I had wanted another Kitchen Aid, but then I saw the Ninja next to it. I have seen demonstrations of this bad boy before, and I knew that I wanted to give it a go. I got the 1500 watt, 2 horsepower motor, and it came with a pitcher, food processor bowl, and two single serve cups, like the Magic Bullet. The cost at Target was $199.99, and that's why I call it an investment. The main reason I get food processors is because of taco meat, and shredded chicken. Sound weird? Well, I knew I had two options: A) to stand in front of the stove with a spatula and stab at the meat for endless hours until I reached the desired consistency, or B) have a machine do it for me in four seconds. I chose option B. Here is a picture of my Ninja with the food processor on it:

Isn't it just so badass looking? This bad boy has four blades in it, and the pitcher has six! I am really excited to try out ice in the blender, but I'm going to save that for another day.

Next, I got my second box from Julep, and this is what I received:

I have used one of their polishes, and they are AWESOME! I didn't even use a base coat or top coat, and the polish hasn't chipped at all. I have not used the Double Step foot treatment stick yet, have any of you? Good news to report: I have been taken off the waiting list for Ipsy! I start getting the box this month, and I will definitely be sharing what I get with you.

Last thing on the agenda is the coupon category. I scored a HUGE deal a couple of weeks ago, and I need to share it so that you guys may become inspired to do the same thing. I used to purchase the Sunday paper every week to get the coupons out of it. I soon realized that I was only using about 1/8 of the coupons that were in there, if even that many. SO, I started buying the coupons I want off of Ebay. The sellers find, clip, and send as many as 20 of the same coupons right to your door! In this example, I bought 20-$1 off coupons for Crystal Light Liquid. I now have an obsession with these darn things. The two flavors that I love are Mango Passionfruit and Blueberry Raspberry.

The local store in my area that I usually go to is Price Chopper. The coupons I purchased didn't expire until January 2014, so I knew I had enough time to find a great deal. Normally, these range around $3.50 to $4.00 each. My Price Chopper had them on sale for buy one get one free. So, a potential total bill of $75 turned into $33. THEN, I used one coupon per item, which I was buying 20 of them, so I then ended up paying a total of $17 with tax. I should mention, I paid less than $2.00 for the 20 coupons. SCORE! Keep your eyes peeled for amazing coupons you use, and the ads for your local stores. There are deals to be had people!

Okay, so I lied, there is one more thing I'll mention, but not go in depth about because I haven't tried it yet:

I got the Osis powder a couple of days ago in the mail. With the fine hair I have, it's supposed to add more volume to your hair; I guess you might compare it to a dry shampoo... maybe? I have been told from another blogger that they use this in their hair right after they blow-dry their hair. I can't wait to try this either!

I hope you guys have an awesome week, and don't be afraid to try new things- they can be FAWESOME!

Ok, so I know it's been a while since I was on here... but it's been within the same month, lol. My husband has been working this weekend, and that leaves me with the two dogs at home. I feel like crap. It's not in a sickness kind of way, it's in a fatness kind of way. Yesterday, I did clean out our horrible closet. I wish I had taken a picture of before and after... that would have been smart. That is the only productive thing I've done ALL weekend. Oh, and did I mention I've taken FOUR naps?????? THREE yesterday, and one today. My body just feels, ugh. I've thought about going places, but every time I think about where to go it's just somewhere to spend money, and I don't have money to spend. For me, that is torture to see something I want, but then look into my purse and see cobwebs. OH! I do have one thing that I did today, I have been seeing reports on Pinterest about doing a foot soak with Listerine. Yes, I did that today. The 'recipe' calls for 1/4 c Listerine, any kind but blue, 1/4 c vinegar, and 1/2 c warm water.  I had to double the recipe seeing that I couldn't see how I was going to soak my feet in a cup of the mixture. We don't have 'Listerine', but we had the Up and Up brand of it, and I had apple cider vinegar... but it actually worked! I'm unsure if I sat for the recommended time of ten  minutes or not, but I played Candy Crush while sitting on the side of the bathtub with a stock pot full of weird smelling stuff and feet. I would have to say, when I felt my feet reacting to the 'mint' of the mouthwash, and the bottoms of my feet were becoming very slick against the bottom of the pot, I took them out. Then, I took a small fingernail brush, and brushed all of the dead skin off, and rinsed them off under some warm water. I followed up with some oil and lotion on my tootsies, and I don't have any of that gross, white, dead skin on my feet anymore. They were starting to crack, and every time I would walk across a rug, they would get stuck on it... gross... I know. If I had to rate it from 1 to 10, ten being the best thing I've ever done... I would rate it an 8. I still feel some baby dead skin on my big toes, but they aren't nasty looking any more.

To preface something I might be reviewing on here next time, I have very fine hair.... Like a little girl has. I hate it, when I put it in a pony tail it sits on the back of my head... flat... If you saw a profile of me you would think I purposefully made it lay up against my head. AND, I don't wash my hair everyday, since they say it's 'not good' to, and your hair can build up its natural oils, the second day after I've washed my hair, if I run a brush through it, and put it into a pony tail, you can see my freakin' scalp. It looks like I lost all of my hair overnight. SO, I ordered a couple of recommended products that some others have tried and loved for their hair. I will report back once I've tried them!

I'm baaaack!

Hello! It has been a long while since I have posted anything to a blog. I have a second one, called Cassie's Sweet Creations, but I feel like since it's been so long, I have out grown it. It was time for a new one!

So, since I last posted, which was in 2010, I have pretty much fully recovered from my busted knee. I consider it a dancing battle wound. I am still married, to the same guy, and we now have two dogs: one is a Chihuahua named Buttercup, and the other is a Miniature Australian Shepard named Trixie.

The orange thing in Buttercup's mouth is a dehydrated sweet potato. She wanted to make sure Trixie didn't get a hold of it. Ha ha!

In the last year, it has been a goal of mine to become healthier, and by healthier, I mean lose weight. A lot of girls won't do this, but I'm pretty much an open book: the biggest I have ever been was 228 (I'm 5'3"), and that to me is ridiculous. My goal for a long time was to get under 200 lbs, and I had no idea how I was going to get the motivation to change it. Last June, I started working out. It was awesome, not only was I noticing a difference in my body weight, but other things. For example: I used to hate getting up in the middle of the night to pee, when I got back my breathing was heavy, and I had to settle back down. Now that I've been doing exercising to get my heart rate up, it handles that stuff a little better. I no longer have to wait to fall back asleep. Since June, 2012, I have gotten down to 185 lbs. I can't believe the transformation that has happened, and I hope I never go back to what I was. Here recently, my gym closed. UGH. So, I'm in the market to find a new one, the one I'm looking at going to is Planet Fitness. I'm nervous to go to that gym because it is waaayyyy more popular than my old gym. I like to do my thing, and leave. I don't want to feel like I have to compete with anyone. I guess it's all in my head and I need to sort that stuff out.

In beauty news, I recently signed up to be a Julep Maven. It's essentially a monthly beauty box, and it's $19.95 or $19.99 a month. I can't remember which... BUT it has free shipping, and you get three full-sized products every month along with a surprise sample. They are focused around nail care, and a majority of the stuff they send is nail polish. Normally, each polish is $14.00, if you aren't a maven. I got two different colors, and an essential oil for my cuticles. I LOVE THE OIL! I put it on, and in one day I could see a difference.

This stuff is amazing, and I recommend it to EVERYONE! AHHHHH!! Amazingness

I'm sorry about the kind-of-long post, but it's been a while. I have even more things to share, but I'll wait for another day. Happy 4th of July!! Be safe!

Much love,
